Even before the start of the great war in February 2022, the head of the NGO "Gesture of Help" Yaroslav Kotylko received a phone call from Oksana Matchyshyn, director of the Drohobych City Center for Social Services. She asked for help for families who found themselves in difficult life circumstances. We responded and have already agreed to provide assistance, but the events that unfolded on February 24, 2022 changed everything.

With the beginning of the large-scale invasion, volunteers of the NGO "Gesture of Help" went to the front-line territories to evacuate the wounded, children, women and people with disabilities from Bucha and other cities and villages that were caught in the fire of war. However, we could not leave without support those who had already found themselves in difficult life conditions. The Drohobych City Center for Social Services takes care of a large number of people with disabilities and families in need of immediate assistance.

Therefore, despite all the challenges of the war, the NGO "Gesture of Help" sent to the city Drohobych, Lviv region, received the first batch of humanitarian aid. It included adult diapers, diapers and other necessary items. We know that this is only the first step, and the needs remain significant.
