Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine

Today, December 24, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Public Organization "Gesture of Support" and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The memorandum aims to combine the efforts of the parties to establish effective interaction, create a barrier-free environment in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and improve communication with persons with disabilities.

During the signing of the document, Yaroslav Kotylko, Head of the NGO "Gesture of Support", and Volodymyr Demchuk, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, discussed ways of cooperation in 2025. Yaroslav Kotylko shared the organization's plans for the next year, in particular, continuing sign language courses for rescuers, as well as holding retreats for veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, recreation for children of deceased servicemen, and rehabilitation congresses for persons with disabilities.

Volodymyr Demchuk expressed his gratitude for the sign language courses for the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for improving accessibility and interaction with people with disabilities. He also expressed hope for further deepening of cooperation, in particular regarding the creation of a barrier-free environment in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the development of new projects for employees of the service.

All those present at the meeting agreed to deepen cooperation between the NGO "Gesture of Support" and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, which will contribute to the development of inclusive initiatives and support for people with disabilities in Ukraine.
