From March 24 to 28, 2025, the fourth holiday camp was held in the picturesque Ternopil region, organized by the public organization "Gesture of Support" and the Charitable Organization "Mission.Bethesda". The event was held specifically for children from Volyn, whose parents died during the defense of Ukraine from Russian aggression.
Our Volunteers sought to provide psychological support and resiliency for children who had experienced a severe loss.
This year's camp was attended by 28 children from Volyn. A rich and varied program was organized for the participants over five days. The children had the opportunity to participate in sports games, creative workshops, and needlework classes. The swimming pool and jacuzzi, as well as interesting excursions to historical and natural monuments of the region, were especially popular among the participants.
Our organizations covered all the costs associated with the children's stay in the camp: accommodation, food, and transportation were fully covered. This was made possible thanks to the hard work of volunteers and the support of caring people and partners, despite the difficult conditions of the fourth year of the war.
According to the organizers, this year it was especially difficult to attract resources and find the necessary funding. "The longer the war lasts, the harder it becomes to find funds for such important initiatives. But seeing the joy and smiles of children who need support the most is the greatest motivation for us to continue this work," the NGO "Gesture of Support" notes.
Each such camp reminds society of how important it is to support families who gave the most precious thing - the lives of their loved ones - for the future of the country. The organizers express their sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the camp and call for continued support for such initiatives, because together we can do much more for those who need it most.
