The goal of the project is to provide free training opportunities for people with disabilities in in-demand IT professions and, after successful testing and obtaining certificates, to take part in competitions for vacant positions in leading IT companies in Ukraine.
According to Yulia Sokolovska, Minister of Social Policy, "Thanks to this project, people with disabilities will be able to receive high-quality training and get a prestigious, market-demanded profession in the IT sector for a decent salary."
"Our goal is to enable these people to live a new life, provide for themselves and their families. To do this, our partners have created courses where leading mentors from IT companies and professors from leading Ukrainian universities will teach them in-demand IT professions. This will help reduce the difference in wages between people with and without disabilities and significantly improve their social status," the head of the ministry emphasized.
The project will last for the next six months in several stages: from February 5, 2020, registration of those wishing to participate in the project will take place. Those interested can already register at https://education.msp.gov.ua/. During registration, participants must choose two mandatory courses and several (from one to three) additional courses of their choice.
The training will begin on March 5, 2020. The training process will take place over 14 weeks, with another week to pass tests and receive certificates, and then competitions for vacant positions.
