Yaroslav Kotylk, head of the "Gesture of Help" public organization, was awarded the Prime Minister of Ukraine's gratitude for volunteering.
Today, the first deputy head of the Regional State Administration, Serhiy Movenko, met with a native of Volodymyr Oblast and presented him with a government award.
"What you do for our country, especially in such a difficult time, is very important. Therefore, for your significant contribution to the development of the volunteer movement and meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, you have been given a letter of thanks from the Prime Minister of Ukraine," said Serhiy Movenko.
It should be noted that Yaroslav Kotylko initiated the holding of annual events for persons with disabilities "Unity" in the Kovel Oblast. This initiative is designed to unite people with disabilities from all over Ukraine, provide them with support and an opportunity to rest.
In 2023, representatives of the NGO "Gesture of Help" conducted trainings with:
safety for persons with disabilities (visited by 85 people),
provision of first aid for people with disabilities (72 people),
legal awareness of persons with disabilities (50 people).
Since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Yaroslav Kotylko has raised more than 4 million hryvnias to help the military. Hyundai Terracan for military unit A6175, Land Rover for military unit A0693 and Hyndai NI for military unit A4005 were purchased.
The volunteer also organized the transfer of humanitarian cargo for the civilian population affected by Russian aggression in the Cherkasy, Sumy and Donetsk regions. In addition, he collected and handed over almost 4 tons of food kits, personal hygiene products, sleeping bags and clothes for military unit #3057 of the National Guard of Ukraine.
